If you are comparing wedding dress shops in Sydney, the questions below are the ones worth asking any boutique before you book — not just this one.
Monday to Saturday, by appointment. Book a bridal experience or call 02 9262 2151.
How to compare bridal boutiques in Sydney
Six things that separate a wedding dress boutique worth your Saturday from one that is not.
The designers they actually stock
A rail of unbranded samples is not a designer stockist. Ask which labels are held in store, and whether the boutique is an authorised stockist for them.
Sample sizes
Ours are size 40 (AU 10) and are clipped and tied to you. Ask what a boutique holds before you visit, so you know what trying on will feel like.
Appointment length and privacy
A gown at this level takes time. Ask whether you are the only bride in the room and how long you have.
Lead times, honestly
Six to eight months of production plus two to three months of fittings is normal for made-to-order couture. Any boutique promising much less should explain how.
Alterations
Ask who does them, where, and what they cost. Fittings are where a made-to-order gown becomes yours.
Deposits and terms in writing
Deposit, balance schedule, what happens if your date moves. Get it in writing before you sign.
What happens in an appointment here
Before you arrive
Tell us your date, your venue and the styles you have saved. We confirm which are in the boutique that week.
In the room
One stylist, the whole appointment. We pull to your shape and your budget rather than handing you the rail.
Deciding
Most brides try six to ten gowns. There is no pressure to decide in the room, and the quote is written down.
After the order
Measurements go to the atelier, then two to three fittings in the boutique before the gown goes home with you.
Visiting the boutique
We are in the city, between George and York Streets — a short walk from Wynyard and Martin Place stations. There is one boutique; the whole collection is in it.

Bridal shops in Sydney — questions
Do Sydney bridal shops need an appointment?+
Most do, and Kayrouz Bridal is by appointment only, Monday to Saturday. It is how the boutique stays private: one bride, one stylist, no walk-in traffic through your fitting. Book online or call 02 9262 2151.
How many bridal shops should I visit?+
Two or three is usually enough. Beyond that most brides find the gowns blur together. Shortlist by the designers each boutique actually stocks, then book the two that carry the silhouettes you keep returning to.
What should I look for in a wedding dress shop in Sydney?+
Which designers they genuinely stock, what sample sizes they hold, how long an appointment runs, who does the alterations, the real lead time on an order, and the deposit and payment terms in writing before you commit.
Can I bring guests to a bridal appointment?+
Yes. The boutique is set up for a small group, and most brides bring two or three people. Bring the ones whose opinion you actually want — a large audience makes the decision harder, not easier.
Where is the Kayrouz Bridal boutique?+
Ground Floor, 25 King Street, Sydney NSW 2000, in the city between George and York Streets. It is a short walk from Wynyard and Martin Place stations, and from the Town Hall end of the QVB.
Which designers does Kayrouz Bridal stock?+
Berta only, and every line of it: Berta Couture, Berta Privée, Muse by Berta, Jolie Bridal and Berta Evening, plus Maria Elena accessories and Berta veils. Kayrouz Bridal is the exclusive Australian stockist of Berta.
Do you charge for a bridal appointment?+
Appointments are booked as one of six experiences, and the booking page lists what each includes and costs. Choose the one that suits how far along you are, or call and we will tell you which fits.
Can I visit if I am travelling from interstate?+
Yes, and it is common. Tell us your travel dates when you book and we will hold a longer appointment, confirm which styles are in the boutique that week, and plan fittings around flights.
