Great Ormond Street x Little Learners UK

Little Learners were delighted to head to London to deliver an exciting messy play and mark making session, with some of the lovely children currently at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Rachel, our Head Franchisor, & Aisha from Little Learners North West Kent

Our session was part of GOSH’s larger support and play service, helping lift the spirits of the children and bring a smile to their day.

The activities we delivered, included…

– Tuff Trays with an array of wet and dry ingredients, including the ever popular Crazy Soap, gloop and taste safe biscuit sand!

– Activities from ‘The Mark Makers’ Programme which help build strong core muscles and set children up for their first steps into early writing!

– Lots of scribbling, drawing and mark making materials to explore and enjoy!

– Sorting and building activities, to develop fine and gross motor skills!

The opportunity to deliver a session with Great Ormond Street was brought to us by our amazing charity partner, Spread a Smile

Spread a Smile brings joy and laughter to seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families during long hospital stays.  Every year they spread smiles to thousands of children and teenagers and their families through their hospital visits, outings and events and art initiatives. They know that their impact is far greater than a smile as they strive to make a real and positive difference to young lives at the most challenging of times.

Our franchisor, Rachel said, ‘We feel incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to deliver our sessions to the children at Great Ormond Street, who may have not usually been given the opportunity. It was AMAZING to see the progress and development of the children during the sessions whilst they explored different materials, learned through play and well and truly made their mark!’

Thank you GOSH, Spread A Smile and an extra big thank you to Aisha from Little Learners North West Kent for delivering the session for us!
