Hello!

Little Learners West Northamptonshire and Kettering is owned by me, Laura! I’m a Mum of 2 boys and have been living in Northamptonshire for the last 8 years. Previously we lived in Shropshire, which we loved! I’m an experienced teacher, most recently I was an Assistant Principal in a school in Wellingborough focusing on safeguarding, PE and writing. I really enjoy teaching writing to primary aged children, I have a good understanding of the progression a child should make in their writing journey and I’m keen to share my experience with others. My eldest son starts school this September and I can’t wait to see him thrive, he’s so ready!

Messy Play with Mercedes, Northamptonshire!

My husband and I moved to Northamptonshire to chase his dream of working in F1. He’s been proudly working for Mercedes AMG HPP for the last 8 years. My boys adore their Daddy so family time at the weekend is precious. We love swimming, bike rides and having outside adventures! Mark Making & Messy Play!

What makes a Little Learners class different to any other messy play class? Our focus on mark making! As a parent, you want to take your child to a class that is enjoyable but also beneficial and value for money. At a Little Learners class your child will have the opportunity to start making marks. Mark making is the first steps in your child’s journey to writing. It allows them to develop their creativity and coordination by making different lines, patterns and shapes whilst exploring different textures.

We make our mark making fun through our award winning Mark Making Programme. We follow one of our four Mark Maker characters each week who represent the four main marks that help to form all letters, numbers, shapes and patterns: a straight line, curve, circle and a zig-zag. Messy Play Parties in Northamptonshire & Kettering!

Did you know Little Learners offer birthday parties? I can work with you to create a bespoke party package that suits the interest of your child. We can create a memorable, messy birthday for any theme. It could be Bluey, Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Mermaids… the list is endless! Within the party package a range of trays and mark making activities are provided. We can set up, support and tidy up all of the activities for you! I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones in a class soon. If you’d like to join us for some messy play fun then we’ll be at Pytchley Village Hall in Kettering on Fridays or at Norton Village Hall on Wednesdays. Classes start at the end of September and can be booked termly or casually. Keep an eye out for a Halloween special soon too!
