Side Walk Paint

An easy activity to mix up and keep little ones and big ones entertained for a while. There are a few ways to make side walk paint that will wash off when the rain comes.

  1. Chalk Paint. Super simple. Crush up any old bits of chalk you have lying around and add some water until you have a consistency you are happy with. This is a great way to use up those broken bits of chalk that are lying around.
  2. Cornflour Paint. Mix some cornflour and water together. Add the water slowly while mixing until you get a consistency you are happy with. Add a couple of drops of food dye or some washable paint for color.

We spent the day today painting the driveway! We practiced our rainbow marks and then got creative painting unicorns and sea horses. I drew out a big alphabet for the kids, who would run and jump on the letters I called out to them. We then practiced our numbers, jumping and throwing skills with some hopscotch! So much fun to be had with a simple old school activity.
