Children’s Activities Week: Little Learners is a Hero Partner
Little Learners is a Hero Partner for Children’s Activities Week 2020!
Children’s Activities Week will run from the 8th to the 13th June 2020 and the kick-off event for Hero Partners, is taking place next week on the 26th February, at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Keele.
Children’s Activities Week is an annual event organised by the Children’s Activities Association (CAA). It is a week where we join forces with all sorts of other clubs, classes and activities that take place every day up and down the country, in order to raise money to support the amazing work that Caudwell Children are doing.
Caudwell Children is a charity, established in 2000 to help improve the lives of disabled children. Caudwell Children do this through providing children and their families with access to the treatments, services and equipment that they need and by helping them to live active, happy lives, as well as increase awareness, understanding and perceptions of disabled children.
This year, all funds raised during Children’s Activities Week for Caudwell Children will help to shape and change the future for children with autism. Currently, it is estimated that 2.5 million people in the UK alone are affected by autism.
The theme for this year’s Children’s Activities Week is #WatchMeFly. Joining in with all the fundraising fun can include dressing up for Little Learners classes in flying-themed outfits throughout the week in June. We are also going to have lots of exciting messy play and mark making activities to coincide with this theme too.
Little Learners has joined in with Children’s Activities Week before, in 2018 we had the fantastic Sid Sloane from CBeebies come in to one of our messy play sessions in Bromely…you never know who might turn up this year!
It’s going to be a week full of so much fun, and it’s a wonderful way for us all to raise money together for a fantastic cause.
Little Learners is looking forward to the week already, and we are so pleased and honoured to be Hero Partner this year.
