Hi, I’m Jo and I live in Hayle with my partner and 3 year old son and I’ll be delivering Messy Play Classes in Cornwall. These award winning classes develop your child’s mark making skills as well as their physical, emotional and social skills. Mark making is the first step towards writing and messy play is simply THE best way to learn and develop these skills!
I’m a qualified primary school teacher with over 13 years experience and still teach locally. I also have a psychology degree which I tailored to focus on childhood development and learning. I have always been passionate about learning and believe that it should be hands on, purposeful and most importantly fun!
I’m thrilled to be able to deliver Little Learner classes across West Cornwall as it will allow me to use my teaching experience, meet lots of new people and support both the children and their famiTerms and Conditionslies in any way that I can.
During my maternity leave, I met lots of new mums who are now very dear friends. I realised the importance of having a support network as a new parent/carer so my classes are not only for your child to make their mark but also a warm and welcoming space for you to bond with your child, meet new people and find support and guidance.
So, if you would like to attend a class that…
Throughout the year, I will also be planning Little Learner special events. Look out on social media for announcements.
You can also book your own Little Learners messy play party. You book the venue and then, after a consultation with you, I can tailor the messy play to various themes. I turn up, set up and clean up. You just need to enjoy the messy play and mark making fun! Enquiries for parties can be made here.
These classes are so well organised and executed. Caitlin & her team are amazing in engaging with the kids and providing new and unique ways to develop their skills through sensory play. Nellie Hall is the perfect venue too! I’m so glad we took a chance on this new program in Canberra.
We love messy play days! Our one and three year old have a ball each session and the themes are very exciting and well thought out. Would definitely recommend.
