Play Dough – The Slow Cooker Way

I have tried and tested so many play dough recipes and want to share with you my new favorite!

Play dough in the slow cooker – an easy, no stress recipe. This play dough last for ages if kept in an airtight container and can be reused time and time again. Play dough is a great activity for developing motor skills and creative play for all ages.


2 cups plain flour

1/2 Cup of salt

4 tbs of cream of tartar

2 tbs of oil

2 cups of water

few drops of food dye.


Wack it all in the slow cooker and mix. Cook on high for approx 1 hour stiring as often as you think about it. That’s it, easy simple play dough!

***It does come out very hot, so make sure that the middle is cool before giving it to little hands!
