Feed the Easter Bunny Craft!
Little Learners at Playspace Ashington will be making the most of this adorable Easter craft this week but this super cute activity is also perfect for home based play. This activity is also a great way to hone fine motor skills, as little ones are challenged to manipulate objects in to the Easter bunny’s mouth! Using vegetables is also a great way to avoid extra chocolate! Make your own by…
- Take any box, but a shoe box works best, and draw on your Easter bunny making sure to give him a big enough mouth!
- Carefully cut out his mouth – if your children are helping you, best to do this part yourself.
- Source your bunny food – veggies are a great taste safe option but you could also create your own food using cardboard.
- Place your bunny and his food on a flat surface. A tuff tray is a great option, especially if you have messy food!
Frozen Easter Eggs
Ice is a fantastic material to explore – it’s taste safe, cheap and can be customised by adding toys, using different shaped moulds or using food colouring to dye your eggs to your favourite colour.
For this activity, Cherrie from Playspace added glitter and froze small toys. Learners at Playspace will have a cracking time using hammers and other tools to break open the frozen Easter eggs to get to the toys inside. Activities like this help little ones master tools and build strong hand muscles!
Egg Printing!
Simply cut up pieces of bubble wrap and cover with paint for a simple craft – or create your own stencils using old boxes, tools and utensils to explore different marks. Messy play needn’t cost the world!
